It’s always been something that I thought we had a right to do. To die. I mean, we all do it, right? Shouldn’t we have a choice as to when it happens, and how? After all, most of us don’t…

Kelly Taylor is going to court to do just that, because she wants an overdose of morphine to help her die. Unfortunately for Kelly, for doctors in the UK, assisting someone to commit suicide is illegal. Thus she must live in pain and die in agony.

I ask you – how is this dignified? How is this a forward-thinking, liberated society, if we cannot have the choice to die as we wish?

There are some, like the NHS Blog Doctor I linked to above, who feel that doctors should not be compelled to help her die. I agree with this, I agree they should not be compelled. But I am sure that there are some doctors that feel that people should have that right, and that perhaps, some doctors should be allowed to help them if they so wish.
