I honestly don’t think that having a death sentence actually prevents people from killing people but this is one of those situations when I wish we had one. Public hanging would even be too good for these people.
I can only imagine with horror what casualties the bombs would have caused with half a ton of ammonium nitrate. And those who had the ammonium nitrate and aluminium powder got an extra eight years. And to think a hangman’s rope would save the state the cost of incarcerating them for twenty-odd years.
