Someone asked me what I did for a day job the other day, and today I have the perfect thing to show! It’s like show and tell at school, what do your parents do etc., Well I work for GRS Sign Company Ltd., (my parents’ company), as a designer and printer.
An example of the printing – Wide Format Printing – that top picture of the recycling, I printed that off (in two batches, they join somewhere near the bottom, seamlessly I might add).
Another example, from design to end product – Trevor Fairburns Butchers – I designed and printed that. I didn’t apply it to the aluminium composite backing, or install it, but it’s nice to walk by it every so often and think, ‘I did that’.
This all being said though, I’m getting my web design business off the ground properly, trying to get enough business so I can concentrate fully on it, pay myself, and get offices.
