Ok so we were told that the London Olympics was going to cost double what the estimate was. So we’re already talking about some £8 billion out of our pockets, and let’s be honest, probably some more when all’s said and done.

Now we have to put up with THAT. What the f*** is that? Seriously, what on earth is that meant to signify?

Don’t we British have some of the top notch design firms in the world? Don’t we have a history that’s worth celebrating? Instead of something slick and meaningful we have something that basically signifies the crappy disunited effort our Olympics is ending up to be.

I’m not the only one mind you, there’s a lot of bloggers that are left bewildered over the “dazzling” choice our Olympic committee has made to represent the 2012 Olympics: elbowruminations‘ is left trying to explain it away – don’t mate, I don’t think it’s possible; sickened, WebTwitcher revealed that the logo cost £400,000 and took years to design – I think I’ll do it for half the price and give it to you in a week; Thermal hopes it won’t rub off to the Scots, I don’t blame you; BoingBoing even lambasts the effort (you know you’ve ‘made it’ when they link to you); Counterjumper wants people’s opinions, I hope you have a long comment list…

I put this post in the humour category because surely, they jest?
