Although given his stringent control of the purse strings it might be a worthwhile experience. I do not like Labour, although I suspect that this stems from growing up during the Thatcher years and seeing Labour’s stance on the unions, and their support of strikes, higher taxes etc.,

If had more charisma I might be more supportive of him, and if he came out and said that he wanted to hold an election right away to validate his new position, that would be good. But he hasn’t, he’s assumed power and it’s almost like he has the arrogant stance that he’s earned it. Frankly, I always thought that Prime Ministers served at OUR pleasure (even though strictly speaking they serve at Her Majesty’s pleasure…) So much for a democracy …
