It is a very eerie and spine-tingling sound, to hear air-raid sirens going off. Not that we expect ‘ze Germans’ anytime soon but to know that what it really means is that your home could be under water soon.
Not mine mind you, it’s a bit higher than many before me, but Paddy‘s (workmate at GRS) is right next to the river.
I got home, and saw it on the news, pictures of the Lud raging through Louth right next to houses and if we have a few more hours of rain I think we could be getting flooded again…
