Hay Fever

Hay fever really sucks. I mean, it really gets you down when you get it bad. Sadly, I get it bad.

Eyes get all itchy, snot dribbles from the nose at a rate that might dehydrate me, throat is all sore. What can I say, I hate ‘hay’.

What’s odd though is this - diseases get resistant to antibiotics right? Our bodies get used to drugs, hence the development of new ones. Why then, do our bodies not get used to hay fever? Surely year after year, if we get it over and over again, our bodies should have antibodies for this, or whatever medical thing is appropriate?

Bloody hay fever…

I hear every word you’re saying. I (Thank God) have already gone past the Pollen season. What a nightmarish few weeks.

I’ allergic to Baking flower and I always go into sneezing fits when I’m baking at work.

After a few hundred sneezes and a gallon of snot blowing, I’m alright till the next time the flour floats in the air.

You have a good point though. Why aren’t we immune after several years of dealing with it?

You have an advantage there Mac, you know what you’re allergic to! I think I may be allergic to rapeseed pollen, since when I went to the US, I didn’t have hay fever.

Wish I could just make it all go away with a magic injection …

There is an injection, but you won’t like it. It starts with Lethal… but it would still take care of them nasty allergies. :P

LOL yeah that’d take care of them…

Not quite what I had in mind though. I swear that this year is by far the worst. Last year wasn’t so bad at all. I want to know what my allergy is though, some flower or tree in this area I suppose (can’t be grass since I didn’t have this in the US).

Just go around sticking your face into things. Woman’s breasts, crotches, faces, hair, or backsides. I’d even go as far as planting my face in a few indigenous plants or flowers if the later doesn’t prove to be an allergy.

It’s actually weird that this is coming up. I woke up this morning with swollen…..eyes. (bet you thought I was going to say something else didn’t you?) :P

I took pictures, so maybe this weekend Ill post about it. It looked really weird. First time my eyes did that in the decades of allergy symptoms.

Yeah, just don’t think it’s anything like allergies to women or any of their parts :)

Perhaps it’s mental then? Thinking about hay fever makes your more susceptible to it? In fact now I’m talking about it, mine have been itchy all day…
