Usurper Brown, Going Down

Yeah! That title sounds like some catchy jingle don’t you think?

After all this time Labour is beginning to slowly realise that the usurper, Gordon Brown, is as useless as tits on a brass monkey. He really is doing nothing for the country. Sound bites on news programs reveal he seems rudderless and just out of it. Now the Cabinet has given him two months to raise Labour’s popularity or face a revolt.

After he commented that he was concentrating on doing his job, that’s what the people wanted him to do. Correction Mr Brown: the people don’t want you in office, and didn’t vote you in office either.

Moreover, if he, and the government, were doing their jobs they’d realise that putting taxes up on petrol, or inaction on rapidly rising fuel costs (EDF just increased prices by 22% for example), we’d get some relief from it. Postponing taxes on petrol isn’t going to help is it? And surely the government can cap prices for fuel?

Two months in my mind is a bit too long, Mr Brown is getting way out of touch with the average person, and everyone I talk to is sick of the state of the country. Moreover many of the people I talk to about this are fed up with so many people on benefits, just sucking money from the state (read: us, our taxes) and not working.

The only good thing so far that we’ve heard of is making people work for dole money. Yes! Finally someone gets the idea!

Update: One last bit I remembered from the news last night. Someone was interviewing the deputy PM, and they asked, ‘Do you support My Brown?’ - she replied, ‘I support all the work that the Prime Minister performs.’ LOL, talk about a fine bit of sidestepping politics!
