Interestingly though, I still have work, just waiting for house prices to dip even lower and I’ll consider buying one and actually getting on the property ladder myself when prices hit rock bottom.

From a personal point of view, statements like this (from the government) are laughable:

That’s so very true of course, but laughable because the Labour government just scrapped the lowest tax bracket meaning those of us at the lowest end of the earning bracket pay more tax. Thanks Mr Brown, I truly appreciate that. And of course, I don’t fit in any category applicable for a refund. I’m single, live alone, and have no children, so that means the government won’t help me out or give me tax credits. Great country this is …
