That article you posted: most interesting. It does not account for something else though – catalysts. Materials that could have been present in primordial pools to catalyze reactions could have created amino acids with ease. Also – lightning, energy forced into a small area to smash apart bonds and create new ones.

What worries me about Creationism being taught as a science subject is that the literal facts in the bible are taught as scientific facts to children. You know, the world being created in 6 days, humans being made in God’s image etc.,

I do not argue that God could not have been a driving force in the Universe, He could have created it then just let it go to see what happens.

There is definately something we cannot explain, conciousness has eluded explanation since our beginnings. But that does not mean God created the heavens and the earth in 6 days, or that evolution did not happen.

Teach Creationism where it belongs: in religion class.

A theory remains a theory until it is unquestionably proven. I do believe in "Creationism." But, as a Christian, it is my job, and my husband's job to teach our children the Gospel, not the public school system. Creation wasn't taught in science when we were in school, and it did not destroy my faith. What "Mommy and Daddy Bible Banger" need to remember is that it is THEIR JOB to do the spiritual teaching of their children. My husband found this article last week. I found it rather interesting. By the way, the President and VP do not have the power to dictate what is taught in the public school systems. That is not the role of the executive branch of government.

Religion should be kept just there, taught in religion class.

Even worse though, would be trying to convince Muslims of this.

The Creationists however, say that the Theory of Evolution is just that, a theory. There are weird facts that don’t fit in still, creatures that aren’t evolved (so they say). But they could be evolved from something we haven’t found yet.

Glad I’m not the only one thinking this!

Religion should be kept out of schools. Period.

OMG! I cringe at the thought of the other religions jumping on this band wagon.

Evolution is just a proven science, so it should be taught as such. If Mommy and Daddy Bible Banger can’t accept that, then they can opt to have their child sit out in the hallway while it’s being taught.

But that is just my opinion, and you’re entitled to it.
