This article has news about a local council paying a whopping £90,000+ a year in housing benefits:

A mother with four children has been placed by her council in a £2m townhouse at a cost to the taxpayer of more than £91,000 a year.

My God what are these people thinking? I can see why people would need housing benefits in certain conditions, but to live in a £2m townhouse and then have the council pay for it, that’s just over the top.

Like one of the people who comments on the article:

I really understand that people who need help should be helped. But this is outrageous!!!! We work hard to make ends meet while someone else gets it for free.

Yes that’s about it, we work hard to make ends meet. It seems to me that if you don’t work hard, you get a better deal!
