For a long time I always thought that Adobe Illustrator was a difficult program to use.
I’m happy to say that I’m wrong! Since we’re upgrading a few things at work, it was decided that we needed to upgrade the software too, and so a new package was purchased and here we are. Illustrator is the main one we’ll focus on (for the purposes of this blog post at least) and my reticence to use it was thrown out the window with the first few jobs I tried.
Wow what a nice program, although one or two things are still a little difficult to get used to. Font sizing for example, messed up, way messed up. Alignment is different to what we’re used to. The drawing sheet size is limited (for what we want at least, in some designs). Other than that it appears fairly straightforward to use, nicely laid out, and a well-designed program.

I have it. I opened it. I got scared and closed it.
