The US budget deficit has risen about $1 trillion for the first time.
$1 trillion! That’s an unbelievable large amount of money. I just can’t imagine that such a thing can ever be reversed.
What boggles the mind is that this amount is per year, so estimates of something similar for the next year, and so on. Where does all this money come from? Even assuming not all of it is borrowed and some is conjured up from some central bank (inflation), that’s hell of a lot of money coming from someplace.
It doesn’t look good, and doesn’t bode well for the US.
