With all the news about the earthquakes and tsunamis in Asia, I heard a bit of something on the news that made me wonder – earthquake/rescue experts from the UK are heading to Sumatra to help in the recovery of victims.
I don’t think that we have a lot of earthquakes here in the UK, or at least, none that require experts in recovery. Indonesia on the other hand, seems to have a lot. So, given this, shouldn’t Indonesia be one of the leading nations in the world with earthquake experts and/or rescue teams?
It would also seem most prudent for Indonesia to develop these rescue teams, and become very skilled in the field. Does anyone know if they are doing so?
