The one shot I was given to rebuild my white blood cells was $7,000.00 a shot and I had to have it after every chemo session, which I was getting twice monthly for six months. Add that up- and that was just to rebuild the cells- it wasn't the chemo drugs I was taking for the cancer- Lord only knows how much they were and the only reason I know the price of the WBC drug is because I had to tell the insurance company I was going to sue them if they didn't OK it for my use, because of course they were trying to get out of it- Rich- if they were to cure it there’d be a lot of money down the drain for the pharmaceutical companies. Just as there is a point to your point about improving the quality of life. There wouldn't be chemo treatment if there wasn't any research, so you're friend might have died if he didn't get chemo and the natural things he took didn't help out. There are so many types of cancer that take up funds in research, so that's probably why it's so expensive. I've been seeing news reports on how close they keep getting to fighting this unforgiving and cruel disease, so yea, I think there is a need for fundraisers for cancer research. I think there is a point to it. Just as there is a point to your point about improving the quality of life.
