Macbros: can you use Portable Firefox or Opera Portable? I carry two versions of Opera Portable (one is OperaTOR for use in areas where I might have privacy concerns) and Portable Thunderbird--with ALL my mail included--with me on a 4GB flash drive.

Preaching to the Choir, Richard. I het at least one call/week from folks who've infested themselves with scareware or other malware by clicking on popups while browsing with IE 6 or even 7. Every time I get one of these calls, I remind them that I installed both Firefox and Opera on their computers in the past for a reason: so they'd have a choice of browsers that are less affected by these sorts of things (in fact, I have yet to see any of those popups on any of the computers--host or VM--I browse with Opera on).

I dunno... it just seems like people like giving me money... :-)
