It’s finally arrived.

God I feel like a kid at Christmas. This thing though, to be honest, doesn’t seem much better than my old faithful.

I’ve had old faithful for four and a bit years now, a Philips shaver, great model. All that time on the same blade, nothing has been repaired on it, still runs like a champ. Must be a record or something. So I spent some time just now cleaning and packing old faithful away in the wash bag, for travel.

This new one though, it’s very strange – does product endorsement by stars actually work? The packaging is about F1 driver Rosberg and his Philips shaver. I’m so happy for him, but I think he should stick to driving cars.

The new Philips, yes another Philips, seems lighter and not so sturdy as old faithful. I should try one of those shaving tests, one side of my face with the old shaver and the other side with the new shaver!

Finally, after many years, I’m getting this theme (Dog Blog) updated!

Talk about bringing it from the stone age, this was one of my first wordpress themes, so it’s a little old. It was for a site called The Snood Factory but now the blog section appears to have been removed. Not sure if Jan kept up with it or not.

Now updated for WP 3.0 it’s looking much better thankfully. Just finishing it up right now and it will get updated for a new download. You can see it by looking for the theme switcher near the bottom of the post and clicking on ‘Dog Blog’ – it sets the theme for 10 minutes (currently no way to override it except by changing the theme back to GlassFlare).

Can you teach old dogs new tricks?

He called tonight with dreadful news, his computer had been hit by a virus and there was a screen telling him to buy some software to clean, credit card number out please. I knew this would be something not easy to say, but I told him to shut it down and go find an expert in his area.

I knew I couldn’t tell him how to fix it on the phone, we’d still be on the phone hours later. He’d be getting more and more irate, and that wouldn’t be my problem! Much easier for him to find someone to fix it where he is, about 300 miles away.

Bloody malware…
