It’s a bit worrying that the far right British National Party has gained some European Parliament seats. This is after all, the kind of thing that happened after the great depression, with the Nazis gaining seats.

However, something to think about, the BNP does want to shut down immigration to this nation, and to be fair we have too many people and too few jobs. And we have a lot of immigrants coming here, sponging off the state, taking our taxes, I think a lot of people are angry about that and Labour has done nothing about it. Maybe that’s one reason Labour has done so badly in these recent elections…

On the other side, the BNP wants to withdraw from the EU, which I think is a bad idea. We can’t do it alone, and as a larger block we will have more clout in terms of trade with the US and China.

I didn’t vote BNP, but I can sympathise.

It appears that Labour are worried that the local elections coming up might just be their death knell. Moreover, they’re worried they’ll lose out to the BNP. This is a party who are hmm, right-wing to say the least. But perhaps more importantly than that, they’re the party who more and more people are feeling affinity with.

Shouldn’t Labour feel their policies are on the wrong track if the BNP are experiencing increasing membership and potential wins in the counties? It’s amazing how political parties don’t learn from the very people they depend on to vote them in!

Maybe people don’t appreciate Labour still letting immigrants in when we have increasing job losses? Perhaps we, the electorate, appreciate being led by someone we actually vote into office?
