If you’ve seen the news lately, you’ll know that NASA managed to land another spacecraft on the planet Mars, the Polar Lander.

The BBC had it on the evening news, quite interesting of course, who isn’t fascinated by the fact that humans have managed to put a tiny spacecraft on another planet (without crashing it)? They explained how it was going to look for signs of ice/water by digging into the surface, then testing it with some equipment.

The amusing part of this is: they finished up by saying, the Polar Lander would have about a 6 month lifespan because that’s when winter comes and … wait for it … the spacecraft would be encased in ice. They even showed it on the animation.

ROTFL. I think we’ve found that ice …
