One course of action is buy newer aircraft that are more fuel efficient, I saw a news programme a week or two ago where a small budget airline said they’d saved something like 20% on fuel costs. That’s a few million, good idea.

Reading the Telegraph today I could not believe my eyes when I read this, surely this is the very limit:

Those travelling on a Chinese Shandong airlines flight were asked to get out and push when their plane broke down after landing.

ROTFL. Can you imagine the pilot asking you to get out and push?
