To those who believe that Lewis Hamilton‘s driving is dangerous and erratic, perhaps they should take a step back and examine another world class driver whose antics are far worse in comparison – Schumacher. He wasn’t what you would call a polite driver, many crashes later, stalls in the middle of tracks, shunts into the back of other drivers, and let’s be fair, a very aggressive driving attitude – he won the World Championship seven times.
Lewis may be aggressive but none more so than other drivers. Take a look at Massa last week, barging into Hamilton from the side, Lewis had the driving line and Massa cut the corner and ran right over it to get back onto the track. That left Hamilton right at the back after he got back, but no-one seems to say Massa is dangerous and could cause someone’s death.
Maybe the critics should realise that there is an element of danger and aggression with racing drivers, that urge to win, and give Lewis a well-deserved break. He hasn’t had a stellar season but he still shines bright. Some would say he has had the rough end of the stick several times but he still perseveres. So Lewis, here’s wishing you some good luck this Sunday in China.
