I just caught the end of the Manchester Utd v Chelsea match, the penalty kick phase. God how close. Ronaldo‘s miss was just devastating, you could almost feel the fans morale drop like a stone. Terry‘s penalty hitting the woodwork though, you just knew at that point that it was over. Chelsea deflated, Manchester Utd took their chance and ran. Van Der Sar‘s save was fabulous and just in time.

This was mentioned the other day when I was playing COD4 with the clan, and someone posted this on the forum board. It has gotten several people into trouble, and if you go to take a look at the original link you’ll see further on down the page what I mean – here is the first paragraph which got people’s attention:

It has just been reported by Reuters that that an unnamed member of the Croatian football team has failed a substance test. If the results of the test is confirmed, under UEFA rules (para 6, sub-section 2(e), Croatia will forfeit the 3 points that the team gained from the recent European 2008 qualifier with England, and the English team will be off to compete in next year’s European Championship Finals.
