News Print v3.0 seems to be having a really difficult time of it with the new WordPress 2.7 release, had some issues on the test blog over at Balanced News Blog. Last week when I played around with it a little bit it looked fine, and I left it functioning but now it seems to be completely fubar and I haven’t even done anything since I left it.

Looks like I’m spending Sunday working on WP themes!

We just had the new WP 2.6 come out (fairly) recently. It changed a little bit from the previous version but wasn’t difficult to get used to. Now we have WP 2.7 coming out, based on the Crazyhorse development prototype (interesting naming there, WP), which alters the navigation pushing it to the left side from the top.

What the … How could you do this to us WP? Ok maybe I’m over-reacting but I kinda liked the top navigation and I’m pretty sure a lot of others did too. I don’t like the collapsible-style menu systems on the left side, they remind me of navigation in the 1990′s on the early websites.

We have a little while though, it won’t be released for another month or so (Nov 2008). Time to get used to the idea, less of a shock. If you want to take part in their survey, voice your opinion!
