Future Day Theme

Working on a simple, functional, and frills-free theme called Future Day.

This is very easy to alter, very easy to add things to, and is focused around the calendar. Basically I wanted to play with customising the calendar somewhat, and so the theme grew out of it.

  1. I am an ordered list.
  2. Another (italic) element in an ordered list.

This is another blockquote, but with a difference.

Motor Oils

This is a post to talk about engine oils and motor oils, vital components especially in today’s high performance vehicles and heavy industrial vehicles.

Some might say that any today, given the high alloy content of the engines themselves, have to be constructed out of synthetic materials. To be honest, they may be right. Naturally occurring oils, or oils that are created from treatment of crude oil, do not necessarily have the right characteristics to perform well under the exacting conditions of today’s engines.

Take this description of the Gulf Formula G OW-30 Motor Oil:

Gulf Formula G 0W-30 has outstanding thermo-oxidative stability reduces deposits & sludge build-up and facilitates extended motor oil & engine life and improved fuel economy and extended drain intervals reduces the cost of ownership. Excellent low temperature fluidity aids quick cold start and provides wear protection at start-up and outstanding Stay-in-Grade performance ensures reliable lubrication even at higher load and operating temperatures. Superior antiwear technology provides excellent wear protection under all conditions and active cleaning agents ensure maximum engine cleanliness.

Similarly, , which might be suited more to 2-stroke engines, have very exacting specifications, like so for the :

It is blended from premium quality esters and ashless performance additives to provide excellent engine protection and cleanliness in 2-stroke motorcycle/scooter engines even under harsh operating conditions.

Calendar Testing

More blog entries to test the blog theme.

This is probably going to be called the ‘Future Days’ theme. It is specifically written for the plugin written by Alex Tingle. It does however, work just as well with the normal calendar that WordPress provides. Event Calendar 3 however, lets you post for events in the future. By using the Loop we can remove those entries so they don’t display on the main page.

Work is progressing to show those entries on the front page once they are no longer in the future.
